Our Mission

The mission of Acorn to EXcellence Foundation is to promote interest in entrepreneurship, business-related fields and science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) through its community events, programs, and scholarships.

Entrepreneurship & Business Development

Entrepreneurs create new jobs and shape economies. We empower young people and women to think like entrepreneurs by connecting them with business and technology leaders and giving them access to hands-on learning with real-world exposure. When equipped with entrepreneurial skills, they are better able to adapt and excel in an innovation economy. Entrepreneurial skills are skills for life.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

We strive to inspire youth and women to discover a passion for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). We prepare them for STEM related degrees and careers by enabling them to develop and practice important skills like teamwork, collaboration, and creative problem solving. We will work with business, education, and STEM communities to set them on the path to success.

Leadership & Professional Development

One of the goals of the foundation is to provide a variety of specialized and informal training opportunities via workshops, forums, seminars, conferences, and symposiums to help professional women and youth improve their knowledge, competence, confidence, effectiveness, and credibility. Enhancing the communication, technical, leadership, and networking skills of women and youth will develop them into the leaders of tomorrow.

We have to support higher education as well as business entrepreneurship, if we are to have strong, sustaining economic independence within our communities.
